Davide Pettenella

Davide PettenellaMy name is Davide Pettenella. I am professor at the University of Padova (Italy) where I teach a number of courses in economics, politics and marketing.

At SUFONAMA I teach the module Environmental Policies in Mountain Areas which has a special focus on forest policy issues related to mountain areas.

My research areas are: economics and marketing of forest products (wood and NWFPs) and services.

Marco BorgaMy name is Marco Borga. I am employed at the Department of Land and Agroforest Environments, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Padova.

I am Associate Editor of the Journal of Hydrology and of Journal of Flood Risk Management. At SUFONAMA I teach the module Forest Hydrology.

My research area are: flash floods, rainfall runoff modelling, hydrological risk.

Mario Aristide LenziMy name is Mario Aristide Lenzi. I am Professor at the University of Padova. I am employed at TeSAF Department, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Padova.

I teach a number of courses in forest hydrology, streams morphology & restoration and global change.

At SUFONAMA I teach the module Mountain Fluvial Geomorphology and Stream Restoration.

Mario PividoriMy name is Mario Pividori. I am associate Professor in Silviculture at the University of Padova. I am employed at TESAF Department, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Padova. I teach a number of courses in silviculture and tree farming.

At SUFONAMA I teach the module Management and Treatments of Mountain Forests.

My research areas are: broadleaved forest, coppices, silvicultural treatments, afforestation.

Paola Gatto

Paola GattoI am Associated Professor in Forest Economics and Policy at the University of Padova, Department of Land and Agroforest Environment (TeSAF), part of the Faculty of Agriculture.

I teach International Market for Wood and Non-wood Forest Products and Economic Evaluation of Environmental Goods. At SUFONAMA I teach the module Forest Economics related to Mountain Areas.

My research areas fall into forest and environmental economics and rural development, forest externalities, and policy tools for natural resources management, particularly Payments for Environmental Services.

Raffaele CavalliMy name is Raffaele Cavalli. I am Professor in Forest utilization at the University of Padova. Furthermore, I am Coordinator of the graduate program in Forest and Environmental Science and of the undergraduate program in Forest and Environmental Technologies at the College of Agricultural Science of University of Padova. I am employed at TeSAF Dept. College of Agricultural Science, University of Padova.

I teach a number of courses in forest utilization and forest operations. At SUFONAMA I teach the course Sustainable logging systems in mountain areas.

Vincenzo D'Agostino

Vincenzo DAgostinoMy name is Vincenzo DAgostino. I am Associate Professor at the University of Padova. I am employed at TESAF Dept. School of Agriculture.

I am the Coordinator and the reference person for the SUFONAMA program. I teach courses on watershed management, soil conservation and torrent control works.

My research topics concern: Forest hydrology, river dynamics and morphology, soil bioengineering techniques, measures of protection against floods and sediment transport in mountain basins.
